Head of purchasing (m/w/d)

Your tasks
- value stream mapping and cost analyzing incl. initiating cost optimization projects by considering TCO
- make-or-buy-analysis
- benchmark
- contract preparation and contracting + price negotiation with suppliers for goods, tools, services
- controlling and balancing of stock level
- responsibility for freight and packaging cost for purchasing goods
- supplier selection, supplier auditing and supplier evaluation
- permanent optimization of purchasing activities
- ensure that purchasing strategies and processes are followed
- set up and control operational goals to ensure in-time/in-cost/in-quality supply incl. providing KPI`s to Group level.
- provide leadership to Kiel MK purchasing team. Coach, mentor and develop direct reports in the department setting and follow-up of the employees ongoing progress and performance.
- analyze saving and optimization potentials incl. implementation of improvement actions
- interaction with other Kiel plants
Your profile
- English language skills fluently in writing and speaking
- German language skills are a benefit
- Knowledge on quality requirements and processes
- Experienced in contract and price negotiations with international suppliers
- Experienced in leading a team, social skills
- Professional experience in purchasing in production industry of at least 5 years
- Knowledge in logistics and stock keeping.
- Knowledge in customs clearance
- Experience in supply chain management
- Experience in reading and understanding technical drawings
- Computer literate, especially Excel skills
- Preferable SAP software knowledge
